Niharika Butani

Niharika joined Nexus Gerard’s outpatient services in February 2025, offering therapeutic support to individuals in need within the community.

Education/Experience: Niharika holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina, where she graduated in December 2021. During her undergraduate studies, she interned as a case manager, connecting clients with resources under the guidance of her professor. Following her bachelor’s degree, Niharika worked in a school setting, observing children with special needs and applying ABA techniques. She then earned her Master of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, specializing in Child and Adolescent Therapy, from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, completing the program in December 2024. As part of her master’s curriculum, Niharika interned with Merakey (Philadelphia), providing individual therapy sessions for clients aged 9-70, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches, with a focus on client-centered therapy to ensure client satisfaction and progress.

Specialties: Niharika has a strong rapport with children and teenagers and is currently receiving training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Her preferred therapeutic approach is Psychodynamic Therapy.

Interests/Hobbies: Outside of her professional life, Niharika enjoys traveling, driving, reading, and swimming.
